We are currently preparing for our next international competition. We will going to Hawaii in November 2013 where we will be representing Sweet Adelines International Region 19.
We are always looking talented women to sing with us! Auditions are held year round!
As a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, we are part of a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
Our members have a wide variety of music backgrounds. Some of us have musical training or degrees. Most of us just have musical backgrounds from school choruses, glee clubs, community choirs, church choirs, and even singing in the shower!
All of us share the desire to reach our highest musical potential.
At Pride of Baltimore, we welcome guests every rehearsal night. We rehearse Monday evenings in Parkville, Maryland from 7:30 pm until 10:30 pm.
Contact our Membership Chair for more information about joining or visiting.
Think that barbershop music is old fashioned? Think that it's just for men? Think again!
Both men's and women's barbershop music is a vibrant art form that is alive and well in the 21st Century.
Sweet Adelines International is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. There are nearly 25,000 members around the globe.
Many of our songs are built on simple melodies. You'd recognize them from the radio, broadway, jazz, spirituals, and other types of American music.
The songs are specially arranged for 4-part harmony. They are rewarding to sing and exciting to listen to.
But don't just take our word for it.
Come watch us in action during rehearsal or a performance.
We bet you'll be singing along before the night is over!
